ZEIT ONLINE has published an interactive application on the subject of aerosols. The calculator shows how high the risk of infection by the coronavirus is in closed rooms. The calculator uses a model developed by a group of researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry. The interactive application allows users to test personal scenarios and make the abstract danger posed by aerosols more tangible. I supported the design of the interface and the implementation of the application in the code.

The simulator allows us to simulate indoor environments and explore how the risk of infection changes. Users can adjust parameters such as volume, the number of people, wearing masks to alter the spread.
