I'm not taking any new projects right now – I'm currently taking care of coffee smallholders data on a global scale. If you need a DataViz Person, look here.

For the 2021 federal election, the interactive team from Zeit Online had a selection of live visualizations realized on the election evening. I designed and implemented the visualization of the members of the Bundestag. Different filters give users a detailed insight into the composition of the Bundestag. The application receives the data directly from the DPA's API immediately after the direct-candidates have been announced and shows them live. Like all visualizations for this federal election at ZEIT ONLINE, it's also prerendered on the server. The application can thus be displayed without delay while further data is being reloaded in the background.

The number of seats per party shows the shares for the activated filter (here direct candidates).
